ospiti (prinzenvisit)

A www.DerPrinz.li appearance as part of the hasena Project "ospiti" from Peter Trachsel in May 2002 in Schiers, Schwitzerland. 7 artists spent a self defined time as a guest in the house of a host family in the region Prättigau and worked there. DerPrinz was visiting the family Bay in Schiers for 1 week.

A guest is (according Etymology lat. hospes/hostis) a friend and an enemy (in the sense of invader) at the same time. The guest invades the everydays life and the house and rooms of the host family and asks the respective owners of the rooms to put themselves in scene along with him. The resulting picture will be transferred to the outer space through an installation. Attached to posts standing in the garden area the images were made accessible for a general audience. Each picture is connected to the place of origin through a red cord so that the inside of the house is brought to the outside. The visitors of the garden get to the conclusion: Der Gast ist König (german saying: The guest is King) (or at least a prince)!
