This work takes the archetype of the "good king" as a source. A wise monarch reuniting all virtues and positive qualities within himself. Through touching such a person (like a saint) people hope for a transmission of such qualities. The egg stands for the germ of such a longing, the hand represents the benevolent touch, the words evoke the hope and the crown made of cheap aluminium foil betrayes the object and action as wishful thinking.
